The course «Forest fires: environmental effects and restoration measures» which was held from 26 to 28 September at the headquarters of the International University Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP) in Huesca, was directed by David Badia, IUCA member.

The aim of the course was to present techniques and tools for forest fire prevention and intervention strategies in areas already burned.

Also discussed how human activity has made the fire in an environmental problem with serious social and economic as well as ecological repercussions.
