Differences in eggshells of dinosaurs are found by group Aragosaurus-IUCA

The group IUCA Aragosaurusled the study of differences in the formation of eggshells of dinosaurs.

The techniques applied to fossils have been electron microscopy and explain the different strategies used incubation.

They distinguish theropod dinosaurs, carnivorous, which would form the shell organic unchecked, causing eggs very stiff. And moreover the hadrosaurs that crystal defects introduced to weaken the structure of calcite and create more fragile eggs.

The work led by researcher Miguel MorenoAzanza AragosaurusIUCA group has been published in the Journal of Paleontology Vertebreate.
