(Zaragoza, Tuesday, April 8, 2025). The Aliaga Geological Park, in the province of Teruel, is preparing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Geolodía, an outreach initiative that began in this very town in 2005 with the aim of bringing geology closer to the general public. Although Geolodía 2025 will be officially held across various Spanish provinces on May 10 and 11, Aliaga has decided to hold its celebration early, on Friday, April 25, to pay tribute to its two decades of history.

Throughout the day on April 25, a variety of activities will take place, including guided field trips led by geology experts, public talks, and educational workshops. These events are designed to help participants “see the environment through geological eyes” and understand the processes that have shaped the Earth.

The celebration in Aliaga highlights the importance of Geolodía in promoting geology and helps showcase the geological heritage of the region.
