Water, Law and Environment (AGUDEMA)

Introduction:

The Group AGUDEMA (Water, Law and Environment), integrates a total of 11 researchers. It was founded in 2002, when it was recognized as Consolidated Research Group (Quality Research Group) by the Regional Government of Aragón. From the eighties, the team was structured as the Permanent Seminar of Water Law. The group aims at studying the water, the public properties and the environment from a legal multidisplinary perspective. This general objective also includes the various uses of water. In particular, the energy, the expropiations in the energetic sector and transport of the electricity produced.

Background:

The group has led different research projects that represent significant advances in this area. It also advises plural entities in the legal aspects relating to water and environmental management. The group has produced a lot of legal reports on the issues under research. Its members’ experience gives the group an outstanding presence in their areas of research. The studies have been published for prestigious publishers and institutions. The group has organized several conferences and seminars.
